Director of Semiconductor Licensing
Hajime Ogawa leads the licensing, litigation, transaction and management of the international semiconductor IP portfolio, as well as the patent procurement efforts, with a focus on processor architecture, basic software, white goods (air conditioner, fridge, etc.), energy management systems and electronics devices.
Background: Panasonic, Nittobo
Before joining IP Bridge, Mr. Ogawa was instrumental in managing IP matters for Panasonic. He has a long track record of success in licensing negotiations, as well as prosecuting hundreds of applications throughout the US, China, Japan and Europe. Originally hired as a software engineer, his increasing involvement in IP led him to develop Panasonic’s IP strategy for leveraging business alliances and patent transactions in the area of white goods and energy management. Most recently, Mr. Ogawa managed IP litigation and negotiation for Japanese glass fiber company Nittobo. He is a licensed patent attorney and worked as a vice chairman of the In-house Patent Attorney Committee in the Japan Patent Attorney Association.
Mr. Ogawa holds a Bachelor of Engineering in IT from Kyoto University.
