IP Bridge, Inc. [Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President, Shigeharu Yoshii] (IP Bridge) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, IP fund, has purchased a portfolio of patents from NEC Corporation [Minato-ku, Tokyo, President, Nobuhiro Endo] (NEC).
The portfolio consists of more than 200 patents, a part of NEC’s achievements based upon its long-term advanced development activities in the field of semiconductor technology. The portfolio covers a broad range of technologies utilized for semiconductor devices, especially relevant to CMOS technology currently used for main trend of semiconductor related products and packaging technology. By this purchase of NEC’s patent portfolio, IP Bridge enhances synergy with its existing IP assets and further drives its IP licensing activities.
