IP Bridge member joined at The Business of IP Asia Forum


Innovation Director, Satoshi Konno, from IP Bridge, Inc. (“IP Bridge”) joined the 9th edition of the Business of IP Asia Forum (“BIP Asia Forum”) held from December 5 and 6 in 2019 (hosted by Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Hong Kong Design Centre). IP Bridge Member gave a presentation at RPX Asia 2019


CEO and COO, Minoru Fujiki, from IP Bridge, Inc. (“IP Bridge”) participated at RPX Asia Conference held in November 13, 2019 in Taipei and November 15, 2019 in Kyoto.

IP Bridge members participated in IPBC Asia 2019


IP Bridge, Inc. (“IP Bridge”) served as one of the sponsors for IPB Asia 2019 held in Tokyo from October 28 to October 30, 2019, along with the other host sponsors such as Panasonic Corporation and Nomura group. This is the 9th time to hold IPBC Asia since 2013. Scale of this event is getting larger year by year and this year, more than 500 intellectual property experts joined from all over the world, and more than 60 top-level speakers made a speech. IPB Asia 2019 became one of the biggest events in the intellectual property business.

Minoru Fujiki (CEO and COO) and Satoshi Konno (Director, Innovation) from IP Bridge joined the panel discussion. At the panel discussion on “the new phase of deal making”, Fujiki stated his opinion on recent industry dynamics and policy change and how revolutionary technology effects the intellectual property deal. Fujiki spoke about lessons learned from negotiation as a patent holder and importance of dialogue with the relevant parties, and especially, he pointed out that the negotiation at the early stage would mitigate potential problems in the future and it was important for successful business. Many other speakers agreed to his opinion and IP Bridge could share its consciousness about the open innovation with other participants in this panel discussion.

Konno introduced specific cases how to utilize the intellectual property, especially, the one which would be the key to create open innovation in the midst of the dynamic economic activities in ASEAN and the East Asia which becomes hot-spot of high-level manufacturing technology and R&D activities.

IP Bridge Members participated in the mini-annual conference of Licensing Executive Society JAPAN (“LES Japan”)


Minoru Fujiki (CEO and COO) and Takeo Yoshimura (Director) from IP Bridge, Inc. (“IP Bridge”) participated in the mini-annual conference of LES Japan on October 11, 2019 held in Oiso, Kanagawa, Japan.

Fujiki was one of the panelists for a panel discussion entitled “What is 3W1H for licensing negotiation?” as a member of ICT business working group, and he discussed on issues and challenges about SEP (“standard-essential patent”) license across different industries from the viewpoint of both licensors and licensees. This panel discussion was a great opportunity to share our knowledge as an experienced licensor, and in fact, this panel discussion was very successful to attract the attention of more than half of the participants of this conference.

Yoshimura gave a presentation on “Technology transfer from universities: start-up companies from universities will open the future of Japan. I witnessed how serious Japan is.” In this presentation, Yoshimura explained that the number of university ventures had increased recently and introduced policies of ministries and agencies which triggered this phenomenon. He delivered a speech on how rapid change has achieved through industry-government-collaboration.
